It’s been quite a long time since I posted a blog! In fact it’s been over a month! So finally here’s the low-down on what’s happening!
Recently, (2nd April to be precise) I found out that my research paper titled “Implementing a Cellular Positioning System: Low-cost Alternative to Global Positioning System” had been selected as a Regular Research Paper at the International Conference on Wireless Networks, to be held at the Monte Carlo Resort & Hotel, Las Vegas, USA. This is a very significant development in my life. This is a proof that I have the capability to research, and that I can stand among the best with my head held high! There were a lot of people who had a lot of faith in my abilities and talent. To name a few, Bedekar Sir, Deshpande Madam and Bhamre Madam from among the lecturers in college. These people have been very helpful, supportive and proactive in my development as a student and researcher since I took up admission into K. K. Wagh College of Engineering (now, K. K. Wagh Institute of Engineering Education & Research).
As you will have noticed, there’s been a slight change in the visual aesthetics of the site from today. This is owing largely to two factors, ONE, some people complained that some graphics were not visible on Mozilla Browsers, so I had to compensate for that, and TWO, it was about time for a change!
So, the latest news is, I have been selected for a Workshop on Firewalls (the Computer Network ones) at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, during their annual “Techfest”. So I’ll be in Bombay from the evening of 27th January 2005, to the 30th/31st of January 2005.
