Dust Storms in Sydney

On September 23rd 2009, Sydney experienced a major dust storm that converted the landscape into something like the martian surface: Red and dusty!

According to reports, the dust was blown in by strong winds from dry farm land in western and southern parts of New South Wales and eastern South Australia. Check out the pictures below, and then head to the Daily Mail’s article about the dust storm.

Check out some photos from Mike Weber of the dust storm. Mike is currently staying in Sydney and was present to witness this phenomenon.

Welcome to the all new http://blog.tejaspadekar.com!

As you’ve probably noticed,  I’ve moved to Wordpress for all my blogging needs! My old site-design is still active at http://tejaspadekar.com along with all the old blogs. However, I’ve decided that I will stop using the old site’s blogging feature.

So, here’s hoping that this Wordpress version of the blog will make my life easier, and will get me to post blogs more often!

Google Voice, Finally!

At long last, I opened my GMail Inbox today (well, the label marked ‘Google’, actually) and was ecstatic to see an invite for Google Voice!

I’d applied for the Google Voice Invitation system a few months back when Google had officially announced it, and showcased all the different features that it would have. I thought it was a pretty nifty way to handle a Unified Communication System, although there’s still some way to go, and a lot of features to add!

Ladies and Gentlemen! As the title suggests, I’m baaaaaaaaaaaack again! Well, the first thing you’ll notice about my return is that the entire site’s look and feel (L&F) is totally revamped! Give me comments on how you like it :-) You can always mail in to me at tejas@padekar.info or through the feedback page.
