A lot of people have been irritated by the huge volume of Buzz notifications that they have been receiving in their Gmail Inbox. I have been filtering the Buzz notifications right from the start and it’s as easy as pie.
For the benefit of anyone who doesn’t know how to create a filter/label, here’s a step-by-step guide on how to spare your Inbox from the constant Buzz.
Here’s how you go about it:
- Open your Gmail account
- Click on “Settings” at the top of the page
- Click on the “Filters” tab
- Click on “Create a New Filter”
- Create a filter for the buzzes with the following fields:
- Subject: “Buzz:”
- Has Words: “Buzz from”
- Click on “Test Search”
- Now that you see all the Buzz conversations/notifications below, click on “Next Step”
- Among all the options you see, select the following:
- (Archive it)
- (Optional) You could apply a custom label for Buzz Notifications
- Select “Apply Label”
- In the dropdown box, either create a new label or select one of the existing labels
- Also, select “Also apply filter to XXXX conversations below.”
- Click on “Create Filter”
That’s it! You’re done! Now, you don’t have to worry about the Buzz spamming your Gmail Inbox!
Enjoy the Buzz!
